P e d i a t r i c S u r g e r y Pediatric surgery is a subspecialty of surgery involving the surgery on the unborn child, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. Most pediatric surgeons in Germany practice at children's hospitals. Other areas of surgery also have pediatric specialties requiring further training including: pediatric cardiothoracic surgery, pediatric nephrology, pediatric neurosurgery, and pediatric urological surgery.
