STANDARD EXTENSIVE HEALTH CHECKUP

The checkup program is recommended for people with a low or unknown risk factor. This extensive 6 hours program covers a lot of screening methods and consultation about lifestyle and prevention. If there is a middle to high risk profile, the individual executive checkup is recommended. It is our job is to plan and execute your medical checkup so that all you need to do is telling us when you would like to have the check up done. We are offering products that are executed by medical doctors. 

The standard extensive health check-up program consists of the following elements:

PRECHECK

You arrive at the centre and you will be accompanied to your individual lounge. This lounge is booked for you the whole day. There is a shower, TV and internet access. Frome this lounge you will be accompanied to the several medical examinations. Food and drinks are included. 

INDIVIDUAL CONDITIONS

A preventive medical expert joins you in your lounge and walks with you trough the opening consultation. The expert wants to know more about possible deceases now or in the past, lifestyle, risk factors in your family etc.

LABORATORY SCREENING

Extensive screening of your blood for routine tests as well as  'emerging risk factors' , such as: Proinsulin, Omega-3, PSA (in men), etc

SCREENING OF YOUR URINE

Testing of PH, leukocytes, protein etc. Faecal screening for bowel cancer

RISK FACTOR ANALYSIS

Assessment of your heart condition and possible risks in the next ten years on the PROCAM algorithm. These results either indicate or rule out further investigations during the check-up

FITNESS ASSESSMENT ( CARDIOVASCULAR CHECK)

Detailed analysis of your physical condition.This also includes ergospirometry with ECG, doppler echocardiography, etc. 

ANTHROPEMETRY 

Anthropometric examinations consist of measurements and calculations of the body mass index, size of waist and hips as well as body composition (fatty tissue, water, biomass).

PULSE WAVES ANALYSIS 

Non-invasive registration of the pulse waves. Very early types of atherosclerosis, which are still reversible, can thus be detected.

TOTAL BODY MRI 

This procedure is used to search for possible tumours or degenerative changes of the musculoskeletal system, respectively. This investigation does not involve exposure to x-rays (vessel wall border definition).

TOTAL VASCULAR MRI  

Intravenous application of contrast media enables angiographic imaging. Since atherosclerosis is an asymmetric but systematic process, total body angiography is the rational choice in a professional check- up.This investigation also involves no exposure to x-rays.

DERMATOLOCAL SCREENING

Reflected-light microscopy for assessing skin abnormalities after detailed clinical examination is the basis for extending the screening to the whole body. Photo documentation is taken.

AUDIOMETRY SCREENING 

A systematic connective hearing test of different frequencies provides information on acoustic capacity.

FUNDUS EXAMINATION OF THE EYE 

The  center performs a standardized funduscopy.  Early signs of atherosclerosis, but also end organ sequelae of arterial hypertension or diabetes, may be detected or excluded.

ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY

Cardiac ultrasound examination is performed using high- end equipment, permitting conclusions to be made on the function of the heart and heart valves. Doppler methods yield precise data on blood flow, heart muscle velocities and strain.

DUPLEX SONOGRAPHY OF THE CAROTID ARTERIES

Ultrasonic examination of the arteries supplying the brain: Important data consist of the so-called intima media thickness of the carotid arteries measured quantitatively, as well as the determination of plaques and vascular constrictions which may trigger strokes.

SONOGRAPHY OF THE THYROID GLAND

The thyroid gland (dimension, structure, nodes) is always examined thoroughly.

DEMONSTRATION OF RESULTS AND LIFESTYLE COACHING. 

At the end of your visit all of the check-up results are demonstrated on a high-resolution flat screen in the lounge, in a clear and comprehensible way. You can discuss all points with your attending check-up physician, and you will receive comprehensive medical counselling on the basis of the diagnostic results of the check-up.

CLOSING MEETING

To finish, you will be given a folder with a comprehensive English summary of the original results and a CD-ROM with all the important imaging results, which you can view at home at any time or show to other physicians.

Clients can contact the centre at any time after the check-up if any issues remain unclear. In the event of significant findings, arrangements for

continued, first- rate after-care will be made.
