D i a g n o s t i c T e s t s Diagnostic test are the heart of heart surgery. In Germany, any diagnostic test can be conducted before and after a surgery. We differentiate between invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests and these include (but are not limited to): Non-invasive tests: Electrocardiogram; Chest X-ray, Echocardiography, Computer Tomography, Exercise Stress Test Invasive tests: Blood Tests, cardiac catheterization (also known as angiography), transoesophageal echocardiography. Normally, these tests are done before a patient travels to receive treatment. However, there may be a need to do some of these tests after you arrive or post-operatively. Our Surgeons will advise you of the requirements before you travel. These are standard tests and any hospital doing cardiac surgery is conduct them.
